
Boost In Google’s Mobile Ranking Will Be Stronger Than HTTPs Ranking

According to the experts, boost in mobile ranking will be stronger than HTTPs ranking.
Google announced that mobile friendliness would be a ranking signal and mobile was the hot topic at SMX last week. During a search engine session at the SMX, Gary Illyes answered many questions related with mobile rankings change.
Illyes said that being mobile friendly will ensure good ranking boost and it will be stronger than what the webmasters have implemented for HTTPs. Google has started sending warning notices to the webmasters regarding mobile friendliness of their websites and those who have started working accordingly, this is definitely a good news for them. So, the webmasters who are busy making their websites mobile friendly will be benefited with the ranking boost announcement by Google.
However, many webmasters have doubt about the effectiveness of mobile friendly boost. They want know whether there will be noticeable changes in the search ranking, because many among them have changed to HTTPs last time expecting there would be instant rise in the search rankings, which did not happened. Google clarified afterwards that search ranking will not increase by switching to HTTPs and it was just for securing the websites.
Illyes said that April 21 would be a very important day. So, those who have not yet started to make their websites mobile friendly, they probably should do that before April 21, as the ranking signal will be stronger than HTTPs.
